1866 - First land bought by congregation
1869 - Congregation organized as "German United Evangelical Salem Congregation"
1871 - Sunday School organized
1875 - First cemetery land purchased (Nickel Plate)
1876 - St. John's dissolves with Salem
1879 - First bell purchased
1884 - Present church lot purchased
1889 - Ladies' Aid "Frauen Verin" organized
1891 - Present cemetery land purchased
1895 - Red Brick Church built
1906 - Kitchen and dining room addition on west end of church
1923 - Women's Guild "Missionary Society" organized
1934 - Merger with Reformed Church (now Evangelical and Reformed)
1952 - Men's Brotherhood organized
1957 - E & R Church merged to become United Church of Christ
1960 - Memorial Hall addition
1979 - Bell Choir organized
1994 - 125th Anniversary celebration
1995 - 100th Anniversary of Red Brick Church
2019 - 150th Anniversary of Salem Congregation
