Part-Time Secretary/Bookkeeper

Salem Church is looking for a part-time office secretary/bookkeeper.

This position will be working on-site

for a minimum of 6 hours per week. Occasionally, this position could require up to 20 per week during the busy season.

The secretary is always the first “voice” that is heard over the phone and is the first friendly face that any person meets upon entering our church. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

answering the phone/email messages during the office hours; promoting church events; creating weekly bulletins; recording/posting the weekly offering; creating/distributing a quarterly newsletter; entering communion information in database; writing checks and posting deposits in Quickbooks, as needed.

Specific duties will be worked out with the Trustees and the Pastor, based on the applicant’s skills.

Preferred applicants must be friendly

& reliable, have experience in

Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, & Quickbooks and is willing to learn

new things.

Qualified applicants may pick up an application at the church office Wednesdays or Fridays. Applications are also in an envelope on the Church Hall door under the canopy.
